The purpose of this design is not to include nature; it is to be in harmony with nature.
Rolling Clouds is the design for a center for creative arts at Mackinac Island, Michigan. When thinking of art, one cannot help but think of the effective response to the inherent aesthetic qualities of nature. This design is a response to the natural surroundings at Mackinac Island. Looking at the beautiful terrain of the island, I did not want to disturb it. Therefore, I created this organic design to blend in with the existing landscape.
